Privacy

Last updated: June 2026

Short version: We don't collect any personal data. We don't track you. We don't use cookies for advertising. The site is a static website that serves content — it does not log, store, or share your information.

What we don't collect

  • No personal information (name, email, phone, address)
  • No usage analytics (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Mixpanel, etc.)
  • No advertising cookies
  • No third-party tracking scripts
  • No fingerprinting

What we do

  • Serve the website you requested. Your browser sends standard HTTP requests to our server. The server logs (if any) are kept only briefly for debugging and contain no personal data — just IP addresses, page paths, and timestamps. We do not analyze these logs.
  • If you donate: Payment is processed by Stripe, PayPal, or cryptocurrency networks. We receive only the information needed to issue a receipt and thank-you email (if you provide one). We do not store your card or payment details — those are handled entirely by the payment processor.
  • If you email us: We keep your email to respond to you. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask. We don't share your email with anyone.

Third parties

The site loads some fonts from Google Fonts (a Google service). When your browser fetches a font, Google may log the request as a standard HTTP request. We use Google Fonts because they serve the Arabic (Amiri) and Latin (Cormorant Garamond, Inter) fonts reliably and free of charge. If you're concerned about this, your browser can be configured to block third-party requests.

Donations and privacy

If you donate to the project:

  • Stripe: Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment itself. We only see your email, donation amount, and any note you add. We do not see your card number.
  • PayPal: PayPal's privacy policy applies. Same scope — we see email, amount, note.
  • Cryptocurrency: Transactions are public on the blockchain. We see the wallet address, amount, and timestamp. We do not know who you are unless you tell us in a note.

Server logs

Our server (nginx) may temporarily log requests for debugging purposes. These logs are not analyzed, not shared, and are deleted after a short period. They contain: IP address, request URL, response code, and timestamp.

Children's privacy

The site does not target children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone. The Quran is a text that Muslims of all ages read, and we welcome young readers.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and note the change in our annual deed report. We will not add data collection without making it clear.

A note on our framing: This site is built as sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity). The privacy posture reflects that: we don't want your data, we want your duas. We don't sell anything, we don't advertise, we don't track. Just knowledge that benefits others.
