What is WhyAllah?
A community-built reader for the 99 Names of Allah and the specific signs He placed in the Quran.
WhyAllah is a small, slow project with one thesis: no one in history has said what Allah has said — the kind of specific, verifiable, detailed statements about Himself and His creation that the Quran places in the text.
The Quran says how the heavens were raised without pillars. Why the two oceans don't mix. What happens inside a mother's womb. When the embryo is formed. How the mountains were anchored so the earth doesn't shake. Who has knowledge of the unseen.
The site catalogs the 99 Names — one page per name, with every Quranic verse where that attribute appears, in Arabic (Uthmani) and English (Sahih International) side by side. It also lists the specific signs the Quran places in the text about creation, history, and prophecy — with sources, classical tafsir, and honest limits.
No proselytizing. No paid promotion. No "conversion funnel." Just the text, with context. Made as sadaqah jariyah — ongoing charity — by a small team in Spain and Egypt.
What this site is not
- Not a dawah tool. We don't argue, persuade, or compare. The Quran doesn't compare, it states — and the site follows that pattern.
- Not a tafsir. We link to classical tafsir (al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, al-Qurtubi) but don't write our own. Translation is Sahih International, with notes on other renderings where relevant.
- Not a finished work. Every entry is a community submission, currently under review by a certified Sunni scholar. Status badges on every entry show where each sign stands.
- Not commercial. No ads, no affiliate links, no paywall. Donations (sadaqah jariyah) are welcome but optional.
